VC Addressed Placement Officers

JNTU-Kakinada Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao has called upon the training and placement officers of affiliated colleges to assess the strengths of their students in order to guide them in the right path. Students should be allowed to fulfill their career aspirations failing which they could not do full justice to their jobs in future. Addressing a Human Resources Meet on the university premises on Sunday, Prof.Rao said each college should have a training and placement officer of principal rank to impart proper training and show good placements for the students. The training and placement officers have to be equipped with the requisite skills so that the students derive the benefits of their expert guidance. Registrar of University of Calcutta Basab Chowdary said workshops and seminars should be held regularly for the benefit of students. A proper perspective of the job markets have to be given to them right at an early stage of their careers. JNTU-K Registrar V.Ravindra, Director of Industry-Institute Interaction K.Padma Raju and others were present. More than 6,500 students have registered for the two-day mega job mela that commenced on Saturday, according to the Registrar.
