Vaishanavi's father passes away

Vijayawada, Feb 2nd: It was a tragic end to the family of ten-year-old girl P Naga Vaishnavi who was brutally murdered by her abductors after she was kidnapped on Saturday last, as her father P Prabhaka Rao, a businessman, passed away in a private hospital on Feb 2. As the news of Vaishnavi's death flashed on TV Channels, Rao appeared distraught and later developed health complications. He was immediately rushed to Poorna Heart Institute and from there to Help Hospital where he was given treatment by the doctors throughout the night. However, he passed away due to heart attack at 09:10 hrs on Feb 2, doctors said.

The three-day-long kidnap drama came to an end last night after the neighboring Guntur District police recovered the girl's body from boiler-cum-furnace of Sarada Industries in the plot no 445 in Autonagar. Meanwhile, Vijayawada police had reportedly taken into custody Venkata Rao Goud, brother of Rao's first wife, Venkatramanamma, and his relative Srinivasa Rao, who confessed of having involvement in the girl's murder. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep shock over the passing of Rao.
