Tirupati, Oct 4th: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is gearing up for the fifth-phase of Kalyanamasthu (mass marriage) program in all the 294 Assembly constituencies in the state scheduled to be held on October 28 between 09:20 hrs and 09:32 hrs while 26,230 marriages were conducted in the first four phases, TTD Executive officer IYR Krishna Rao said. Addressing a press conference, Mr Rao yesterday said the Kalyanamasthu program would be held under the guidance of the district administrations concerned and in this connection; a teleconference would be held on next Monday with all the district collectors.

The awareness sessions would be organized with the village secretaries all over the state for the enrolment of the couples. Each marriage party would be supplied with a two gram pure gold 'mangalasutram' and other paraphernalia, including dinner for their relatives and friends besides Sri Vari darshan for the couple. The publicity material would reach all the district headquarters on or before October 10, TTD Public Relations Officer T Ravi said. Earlier, TTD Executive Officer IYR Krishna Rao held a review meeting with all heads of the department and chalked out a plan of action for the successful organization of the event.
