Director General of Aadhaar (UIDAI) Mr. R. S. Sharma has stated that, all classes of people will be beneficiated with Direct Cash Transfer scheme. He came from Delhi here on Wednesday to inspect about the Direct Cash Transfer scheme implementation in the district, as they received complaints on this. According to this, he had conducted a review meet with all respective officials here at Collectorate. Speaking on this, he stated that the Aadhaar number also helps as uniform contact number to all the systems. He called the public to use Aadhaar number as financial address. He said that the residential address and address for correspondence may change from time to time due to various reasons, but the Aadhaar number will stands good wherever the number holder. Mr. Sharma complimented the district authorities for achieving 95% of Aadhaar based registrations in the district, thereby standing first at national level. He noticed the officials to implement the scheme 100% purely in the district. Responding to this, the District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad has narrated various salient features in the implementation of the scheme with powerpoint presentation on implementation with regards to MGNREGP, Students Scholarships, Social pensions, Janani Suraksha Yojana for women, Child Labourers under National Child Labour Project (NCLP). After completing the meet, Mr. Sharma had visited Penumarthi in Kakinada Rural and Gollaprolu mandal, and inspected the implementation of Aadhaar based PDS system.
