Unscheduled power cuts in district

Kakinada, Mar 4th: In spite of the schedules given by the government pertaining to the power cuts, the Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited Authorities are imposing unscheduled power cuts in the district. This unscheduled power cuts for long hours are mainly effecting industrial production where they are forced to shut down their machinery due to which the production levels are coming down. Even the government has put the restrictions on usage of power during peak hours, the authorities are imposing the unscheduled power cuts to meet the increasing demand.

Besides this, the farmers are also facing problems in operating the bore wells to irrigate the fields. Commercial establishments too are facing problems as power cuts are imposed during peak hours forcing them to run generators. Few of the industrialists allege that the government should work out alternate plans to ensure power supply to avoid any negative impact on industrial and agricultural productions.
