Police seized unregistered vehicles here on Tuesday. According to the orders passed by SP Trivikrama Varma, police made inspections in various places in Kakinada. Two wheeler vehicles, which are unregistered without numbers and records, were seized. Vehicles with fancy numbers were also taken into custody and records were checked. In the supervision of DSP Balla Lakshmi Narayana of Kakinada Sub Division, CI’s and SI’s took part in this investigation. More than 50 two-wheeler vehicles were seized and penalty from more than 200 motor cycle owners were collected. Speaking on this, DSP B.Lakshmi Narayana stated that to prevent robbery of motor cycles in district, this checking has been conducted. He also stated that accused persons are also indulging in Chain snatching on the unregistered bikes. Stringent actions are taking place against the accused, he added. He advised that everyone must carry license and other records with him or her.
