Unrecognized colleges warned

Rajahmundry, Aug 22nd: The authorities of the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) will initiate criminal proceedings against junior college being run without recognition from it. Notices were already served to three colleges in East Godavari to shut down immediately as they were running with out recognition. The identified colleges are Sri Medha Junior College located at Tilak Road, Mega Junior College located at Danawaipeta in Rajahmundry and the Konaseema Vocational Junior College at Amalapuram.

The authorities have served notices to close them and students who have taken admission to these colleges were advised to take admission in recognized colleges immediately as the last date for taking such admission ends on August 22. However the authorities to help the students avoid losing one academic year intend to be lenient and advised college principals to admit students in case of vacancies in the permitted strength of the college. Students are supposed to pay admission fees to BIE authorities by August 24.
