The first festival & new year of Hindus 'Ugadi' was celebrated grandly, here on Monday in the district. The District Cultural Association has conducted this festival celebrations here at Surya Kalamandir in Kakinada. According to this, the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has presided over the program as a chief guest. She has performed special poojas on this occasion. Later, Pandits Brahma Sri Gollapalli Lakshmi, Ganapathi Avadani, Gollapalli Venkata Subrahmanyam Ghanapaati, Kappagantula Chandra Shekar Avadani, Cheboli Venkata Rama Satya Prabhakar Avadhani and many others participated in the program and blessed the people.
