The district administration has introduced an online system, known as the Deepam Beneficiary Management (DBM) System for transfer of gas connections. According to the Civil Supplies dept survey, there are nearly two lakh Deepam LPG connections in the district. The authorities have digitalised 50,000 connections till now and are taking up follow-up action for the introduction of this DBM system. This system has been introduced by the Joint Collector Mr. A.Babu on the last day of his working for the district, here on Monday. Speaking on this, he said 'the DBM system of East Godavari district will serve as a model of other districts'.
Mr. A.Babu has also inaugurated another online system for district 'The East Godavari Procurement Management Online system (e-procurement)' for Rice millers. According to this system, rice millers need not come to the civil supplies office for getting the MSP certificate. They can get this online with a digital signature. 'The system will help rice millers as well as farmers in expediting the process of purchasing and levy', stated by Mr. Babu.
