Kakinada, Mar 29th: Aiming to create awareness on HIV/AIDS among the people of all walks of life, a two day exhibition called Red Ribbon Express will reach Kakinada railway station on April 26. The campaign was organized by Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF), National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan. The principal secretary of medical, health and family welfare, Mr. J. Satyanarayana directed the officials concerned to take all possible steps to make the program a grand success. Speaking about the program, Satyanarayana said that nearly 50,000 people were affected with HIV/AIDS in the district and the campaign is aiming to clarify the doubts of the victims about the disease. He revealed that the government is planning to provide pension of Rs 200 per month for each of the affected person from the month of April.
