Kakinada, Oct 21st: Rich tributes were paid to the police martyes on the occasion of police commemoration day on Tuesday at district police office in a grand way. The meeting was headed by social welfare minister P. Subhashchandra Bose.
Speaking on the occasion, Bose praised the services of the police and their sacrifices. He said that the police are real time heroes and they protect the nation from internal threats and also sacrifice their lives on duty.
Minister expressed condolence to the 16 families of police martyrs belonging to East Godavari District, who sacrified their lives on duty in the last one year. He distributed clothes to the families.
Many police man donated blood at the blood camps and conducted welfare activities to create awareness in the people. S.P Nagireddy, collector Dwivedi also took part in the occasion.
Rally was conducted by the police department and the students belonging to various schools from S.P office to Balacheruvu. Many officials also took part in the rally.
