Kakinada, May 20th: A five day training program for Kakinada division VROs (Village Revenue Officers) was initiated at local Collectorate Bennet club by East Godavari District joint collector, Mr. Kona Sasidhar on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, JC revealed the need of taking up the training program. It was said to taken up to meet the changing needs of revenue department and for various requirements of people both in rural and urban areas.
JC said that VROs play a key role in the revenue set up in the rural areas. The program also targets in giving training to newly appointed 430 VROs out of the total of 930 VROs in the district. The program will continue for five days for each revenue division. Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Peddapuram, Amalapuram and Rampachodavaram are the revenue divisions included in the list. “After the completion of the training program a test will be conducted to the VROs and its compulsion for every VRO to get through the exam”, JC said.
After conclusion of all the process, the updating and online process of revenue records will be taken up in a month. Under this program, the updating of records which was completed in 2004 will be continued up to 2009. The process of online loading will also be taken up simultaneously to make details available to the public. DRO, M. Mohan Raju, training center manager N. Suryanarayana and others attended.
