Mr. P. Venkateswara Rao retired professor of Andhra University said that municipal officers should have a view on losses caused due to rain water. He started the two days training program on "Rain & Flood Water Management", yesterday at the office of National Knowledge Hub for Water in Kakinada. He also said that every man should have an idea on how rain water in his compound is going out. He said that flow of rain water depends on physical feature of the region, nature of the sand, level of under ground water and condition of stagnant water. We should see that rain water doesnt stagnate on roads, as there is a danger that people may fall into manholes, as they are covered with this stagnant water, he added. In this training program Municipal and Drainage engineers were trained on various topics and a Souvenir of this training program was released. Senior Engineer of RWS Mr. Nanda Rao, Scientist Mr. Satyaji Rao and many other department officers from Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Goa also participated in this program along with the officers of our state.
