Principal of State Institute of Fisheries & Technology (SIFT), Mr. P.Suresh stated that training classes would be conducted for Boat Drivers. Training will be given on International rules during hunt in sea and certificates will be given after competition of training. SIFT Boat Owners Association President Mr. Ranga Rao, Fisheries Officer Mr. AD Jaya Rao, Krishna Murthy Fisheries Survey of India Officer Mr. Reddy and Port Officers participated in these meeting. Speaking on this, Mr. Suresh said that training would be given for candidates with minimum educational qualification as 7th Standard and with age above 35 years. Training would be given for 30 days, he added. In this training program, drivers will be given identification, he added. He also said that, he would discuss with higher officials on this and start the classes very soon.
