The State Government is making efforts to develop the 'Hope Island' as a tourism destination. As a part of this, the Minister for Cooperation Mr. Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy has inaugurated a tourism boat for visiting the island for tourists. Later, he has visited the island along with Amalapuram MP Mr. Harsha Kumar and the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad. Speaking on this, he said that the island would be moulded as a prominent tourism centre in future. He stated that the development works are being chalked out for improving the living conditions of the residents of the Island. Later, he has visited the government school near the Island and teached lessons to the students. But he expressed dissatisfaction over the students standards in the school. APSP Commandant Mr. Rajesh Kumar, State Tourism Development Corporation DM Mr. Ramakrishna, RDO Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru, DCCB CEO Mr. Hema Sundar, Tahsildar Ratna Kumari, Korangi Sarpanch Dhadala Mani and others participated in the program.
