District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad stated that the Toll Free No: 1077 has been set up at the Collectorate in Kakinada, to update the information on floods. She announced that 'as many as 1.41 Lakh people belonging to 59 villages in 16 mandals have been affected due to floods in the district and crops have been damaged in 1,338 hectares'. A total 8,164 flood victims who have been evacuated from island villages due to floods to river Godavari were accommodated in 24 rehabilitation centers in the district, she added.
