Kakinada, Feb 2^nd: Aiming to educate the fisher flock about various preservative methods and alternative fishing products, S.I.F.T has organized a three day training camp for the fisher women. The program was inaugurated by the S.I.F.T principal Y. Prakash Rao on Monday. Scientist of Central Institute of Fisheries Technology Society Mr D. Imam Kasim attended as the chief guest for the program. Women from various districts attended the camp and participated in the classes organized on this occasion.

Addressing the meeting, Principal Y. Prakash Rao alleged that there is a need to educate the uneducated fisherwomen about the techniques involved in the fishing to yield better results. He asked the fisher flock to acquire the new methods of fishing and to maintain hygienic conditions. He revealed that the fish stalls organized in S.I.F.T has already received great response and they were planning to start new transport vehicles so as to avail the facility for the fisher flock to sell their products to far places. Scientist Imam Kasim has also presided over the meeting. He revealed that the state is receiving better results in the export of dry fish and the same can be improved by organizing such training classes. Later he gave training to the fisher women about various technical methods.
