Three children drown in river

Kakinada, Nov 2nd: Three children drowned in Tandava River at K. Agraharam village of Kotananduru mandal on Monday. D. Nagababu (11), V. Siva Sankar (10) and D.G. Veeranjaneyulu (12) were natives of N.S. Venkatapuram and N. Suravaram villages of Tuni mandal. The mishap occurred when they ventured into the river for an auspicious bath on the occasion of Kartikamasa Somavaram. Kotananduru police registered a case.

According to the police, on Monday morning the three along with their friend has planned to go to K.O Agraharam to worship Lord Shiva on the occasion of Karthikamasa Somavaram. When they went to the village, they decided to perform rituals to Lord Shiva after having a bath in the river Tandava. All the three ventured into the river. After failing to locate them, their friend went to his village and informed to their parents. Parents found that their sons had drowned and informed the same to the police. A case was registered and investigation is on.
