District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has called the public to use clay ganesh idols during 'Ganesh Chaturthi' festival to control water pollution in support to save the environment. Yesterday, she has started the ten thousand clay idols distribution program, which was arranged by Darithri Rakshita Samithi at Bhanugudi center in Kakinada. The program was held under the chairmanship of Darithri Foundation founder Seemakurthi Surekha. After the distribution program, the Collector released the publicity pamphlets on this. Speaking on this, she appreciated the Darithri foundation for doing this type of programs. She requested the public to use eco-friendly idols instead of Plaster of Paris idols. Darithri Foundation Vice President Mr. P.Eswara Rao, Mr. Narasimha Rao, Mr. Srinivas, Mr. Murali Krishna, DPRO and others participated in the program.
