Kakinada, Jan 30th: To popularize the importance of telugu language, Andhra Pradesh Adhikara Basha Sangam has grandly organized Telugu Vikasam meet at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Friday. Telugu basha sangam president, Dr. A.B.K Prasad did jyothiprajwalana and initiated the program. Speaking on the occasion Dr Prasad recollected the services done by Adhikara Basha Sangam towards the implementation of the telugu language in various fields.
East Godavari District collector Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi has also participated in the program. Presiding over the meeting he elucidated the importance of telugu language. He asked all the government officers to carry all the proceedings in telugu language so as to make the people easily understandable.
As a part of the program many cultural events were also organized. The dance program by Y. Lalitha Sindhuri and the folk songs by V. Prasad attracted the huge audience. Elocution competitions on telugu speaking was also organized. Later the sangam has distributed prizes to the winners. Adhikara Basha Sangam members, S. Narsimharao, M. Jyothi, B.C corporator Manjula, RDO kishore Kumar and many more participated.
