Kakinada, Jan 28th: East Godavari district collector Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has grandly inaugurated the Telugu Vani at the local RDO office on Wednesday. Revenue Divisional Officer Kishore kumar has taken up this project to spread the greatness and importance of the telugu language in the society.
Spaking on the occasion, Mr. Dwivedi said that in the next two to three months, about 80 per cent government offices in the district would take up all the official transactions in telugu. He ordered the officers to write telugu words and idioms on the board placed at Telugu Vani so as to create interest on the telugu language. He suggested the officers to do all the correspondence in telugu as it has attained the status of a classical language. He also revealed that training will be given to typists, stenographers and computer operators in telugu typing. Joint collector Kona Sasidhar, DRO Mohan Raju, M. Jyothi, BC welfare president Annapurna other participated in the occasion.
