The State Commissioner of Labour Department, Mr. B. Ramanjaneyulu, IAS, has visited East Godavari District here on Tuesday along with Vice Commissioner of the department Mr. J.S.S.Prasad. Speaking with media persons at Collectorate in Kakinada, he stated that the technical education should also be provided for child labour students along with academical study. Children with an age of above 12 years are eligible to learn this technical education. He said, an integrated survey is being conducting by the department to collect appropriate information about child labour in the state with in three months. He said, Uppada Government school in Kakinada is implementing good technical education for the students along with the academic education, similarly it will also be implemented all over the state as soon as possible, he expressed. According to Rajiv Vidya Mission report, nearly 1.28 Lakh of children are identified still, which are out of school, he stated. He stressed that child labour should be identified more in future to get them to school. As many as 3.48 crores of labour workers will be taken under Labour department in future, he added.
