In support to the ongoing Samaikyandhra agitation, the District Teachers JAC have decided to go on indefinite strike from 3rd September, ie., Tuesday onwards. According to this, the JAC Chairman Mr. K.V.Shekar, Convenor Mr. Chintada Pradeep Kumar gave strike notice to the District Educational Officer (DEO) Mr. K.V.Srinivasula Reddy here on Monday. Speaking on this, the JAC leaders stated that around 13 Teachers unions will participate in this strike. Ten thousand and above Teachers will participate, they estimated. They had released the schedule of this indefinite strike. Teachers Union leaders Mr. P.V.Satyanarayana Raju, Mr. P.V.N.Prasad, Mr. Telagani Venkatrao, Mr. Thotakura Sai Ramakrishna, Mr. Govind, Mr. N.Venkateswara rao and others participated in the program.
