Teachers asked to stay at workplace

Rampachodavaram, Aug 17th: East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna issued directions to tribal welfare authorities to make efforts to ensure the stay of teachers at their work place. He inspected the tribal welfare residential girl’s high school at K. Yerrampalem village in Rampachodavaram mandal on Sunday night. Realizing that a large number of teachers are not staying at their workplace, collector asked the welfare authorities to with hold the payment of house rent allowance to teachers who failed to stay put in the Agency of Rampachodavaram in East Godavari.

Collector enquired with the students about the supply of food and accommodation and other amenities. He made a night halt at the school and found that students were idle in the morning hours. He asked the HM to organize study hours for Class X students to help them improve their performance in the board exams. Collector noticed that even after the commencement of the classes only the school headmaster, warden and two contract teachers were present in the school.

He directed the tribal welfare deputy director, Mr. B. Mallikharjuna Reddy to issue directions that all teachers posted in the Agency to stay put in their work places and if they fail to do so, their HRA would be withheld.
