The one-day bandh, which was called by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Seemandhra MLA's to coincide with the last day of debate on bifurcation Bill in the Assembly was peacefull in the district, here on Thursday. The TDP representatives have conducted a bike rally in the major places on the day. All the shops, educational institutions, banks, offices & other commercial establishments were closed. The bandh hits the transport services mainly the bus transport in the district. This results the loss of Rs. 2 lakhs to APSRTC for the day, as per the sources. However, the T-bill was rejected in the assembly with the majority of voice votings against the bill on the same day. Amidst chaotic scenes, a resolution tabled by the Chief Minister Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, rejecting the bill. Listening to this, the supporters of Samaikyandhra were joyfully celebrated their first success.
