The bandh observed by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was completed peacefully here on Monday. The TDP activists observed State-level bandh to register their protest against the arrest of the party president, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu on the third day of his indefinite hunger strike at Hyderabad.  Most of the owners of many shops and establishments downed their shutters willingly to participate in the bandh. TDP activists who swung into action in the early morning, managed to convince the remaining traders and make them participate in the bandh. A holiday was declared to educational institutions and the party activists did not let the employees of Government departments discharge their duties. In Kakinada Municipal Corporation, the employees tried to attend their duties from the afternoon following instructions from their higher authorities. Knowing this development, TDP activists crowded the office of the civic body and made all the employees observe the bandh. Addressing the crowds, Former MLA, Mr. Vanamadi Kondababu and Party's City Unit President, Mr. Dusarlapudi Ramana Raju accused the State Government of showing high-handedness in the entire episode of the arrest.
