Rajahmundry, April 14th: Telugu Desam Party chief and former chief minister, Mr. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu promised the voters with various welfare schemes if the party was elected to power in the ensuing polls. Addressing the election meeting held at Rampachodavaram on Tuesday, the TD chief promised to implement various welfare schemes for the benefit of the all the sections of the community.
Babu tried to attract the voters saying to give financial assistance upto Rs 2,000 per family under cash transfer scheme, color TV, free power to poor, free gas connections with a refill charged at Rs 150, health insurance, free interest loans upto Rs 25,000, waiver of Indiramma housing loans, financial assistance up to 1 lakh for construction of a house and many more. He faulted the ruling government for raising the prices of essential commodities which affected the daily living of poor and common man.
Babu appealed the people to support the Rampachodavaram assembly segment nominee, Mr Chinnam Babu Ramesh and the CPM nominee for Araku parliamentary constituency, Mr Midiam Babbu Rao. He revealed that Rampachodavaram segment is a stronghold of the TDP since the party formation in 1983.
