TD blames Congress for hiked prices

Kakinada, Jan 25th: The opposition Telugu Desam Party on Monday blamed the congress-led UPA at the Centre and the Congress Government in the state responsible for the abnormal hike in prices of all essential commodities. Led by the TDP floor leader in AP Legislative council Dadi Veerabhadrarao, TDP leaders called on Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi and submitted a memorandum alleging that the lopsided policies of the Congress government had resulted in steep hike in the prices of essential commodities.

Earlier, addressing the district party general body meeting, Veerabhadrarao, a former Minister, alleged that Congress was behind the ongoing agitation for statehood to Telangana, with the sole objective of weakening the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and preventing the TDP from coming back to power in next elections.
