TATA Discarded Singur NANO Project

           Kolkata, Oct 3: “We are abandoning the Singur NANO project” these words were said by Tata Motors Chairman Mr. Ratan Tata to the press on Friday. He said that this was his dream project and he has taken this decision very painfully, this is not only painful to Tata but also to the employees who were working under this project. Tatas has no option other than this, and they could not run the project under the police protection

          This dispute was raised by Mamatha Benarjee saying that farmers land was procured and 300 acres were to be returned. Farmers through bombs on to the factory and damaged the compound walls.

          West Bengal Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee tried to discard Tata , but he said that they had no option kepping in mind regarding the safety and security of theemployees and vendors. He said that they already invested 150 crores on this project and they are shifting the equipment from Singur. Tata  did not say where the Nano project would be relocated
