Kakinada Oct 3: In Kakinada rural mandal the dispute between the stakeholders and the farmers strike again. Pelting of stones between the two groups resulted in injuries to 14 people from both sides. The dispute came under control with the help of large police force.
According to the sources, the problem is that Mr. Mutta Sasidhar (son of Mutta Gopala Krishna) wanted to establish Emmel Company, and for this he purchased 12 acres of land from APIIC, on January 2008 from which 9 acres were under dispute.
Section 144 CRPC was imposed on this land by revenue divisional manager and sub divisional magistrate, but Sasidhar wanted to fence the land. Farmer’s turned up against this and resulted in pelting of stones between the groups.
RDO revealed that he called for a meet of both sides for the settlement, but it was a fail. Police kept the round the clock vigil in the area. It is said that Sampara MLA Mr. Bullabbayai was extending his support to the farmers in this issue
