Kakinada, Mar 25^th: As the scheduled dates for the fore coming polls of both Assembly and Parliament are approaching, the officers of police department are increasing the security measures in the district. Under the supervision of Kakinada DSP B. Achut Rao, cops are conducting surprise visits at various places in the town. Speaking to the medial persons here on Thursday, DSP revealed that they were conducting surprise visits as a measure to keep check on the distribution of money, liquor and any other favor to the voters by the political parties. He said that they have kept a close tab on illegal sale and transport of liquor at several places in the town.

Mr. Rao also revealed that they were organizing inspections at various places in the town which include bus stations, railway stations, lodges, cinema theaters and others and taking the suspected persons into custody. DSP ordered to examine the party vehicles and seize the same which do not have permission from the authorities. Care was taken to remove the unauthorized hoardings and flux boards, he disclosed. SI’s Rajaji, Ahmad Ali, Pavan Kishore, Ram Mohan Reddy, Veeraprasad Babu and others were along with DSP.
