‘Struggle Committee against Kakinada SEZ’ (KSEZ Vyathireka Porata Committee) leaders demanded Government to release the Farmers who were arrested by the local police for the protest against their land acquisitions under Special Economic Zone (SEZ), at Ponnada Village in U.Kothapalli Mandal. According to this, they conducted a press meet here on Saturday at Santhibhavan in Kakinada. Speaking with media persons, they grieved that Pithapuram Circle Inspector arrested the farmers without following the Court orders. Government wants to occupy the lands of poor farmers in the name of SEZ land acquisition, they criticized. They said, ‘Struggle Committee against Kakinada SEZ’ (KSEZ Vyathireka Porata Committee) would start protest against the Government for SEZ activities to support the farmers. Committee members Mr. Bavisetti Narayana Swamy, Mr. Peketi Yaajamani, Mr. Chintha Suryanarayanamurthy, Mr. Ainavarapu Suryanarayana and others participated in the meeting.
