Kakinada, April 7^th: East Godavari district collector and returning officer, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi overruled the objections raised against the Praja Rajyam Party candidate, Mr Chalamalasetti Sunil stating that he is a citizen of UK and has no right to contest in the elections. On hearing the arguments from both the advocates of complainants and the PR candidate for more than six hours collector declared that the nomination filed by Mr. Sunil is valid and he can contest in the elections.

The representatives of Congress, BJP, and MRPS raised objections against Sunil and produced documents supporting their objections which were downloaded from the website and submitted the same to the collector. It is said that Mr. Pallam Raju, union minister of state for defense is also one among them who raised objections against the nomination of Sunil.

Speaking to the media persons here on Monday, collector revealed that Mr. Sunil has produced the supporting documents which include PAN card, electrol card and passport issued by the high commission of India to prove his nationality. The documents are valid till 2017. He also disclosed that the documents downloaded from the website cannot be taken as the evidence and hence declared the nomination of Sunil as valid.
