The Summer Cricket Training Camp conducted in association with District Crickets Association from 1st May has been concluded here on Wednesday. In this training camp, training was given for more than 1000 children below 14 years of age. Basketball training was held at Pitapuram and Kabbadi training at Samarlakota, Ayodharamapuram, Gollapalem, Viravada, Chillangi in Kirlampudi Mandal and Kakinada. Kho-Kho training was given at Talarevu, Virava and Rayavaram. Training on Athletics was given at Chadalada, Mallepalli, Penumalla and Kakinada. Training on football was given at Naagulapalli, Sampath Nagar of Rajanagaram Mandal. Training was given for Judo in Jaggampeta, Weight lifting in Eleswaram, Boxing in Malkipuram. Training camp included Gymnastics, Hockey, Athletics, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Judo, Shuttle Badminton, Swimming and Football at Kakinada Sports Ground. Total 19 PET’s, DSA coaches across the district participated in this camp. Competitions will be conducted for Children who participated in the camp and prizes will be given for the winners on 4th and 5th June. DSDO R.Ravi said that certificates would be presented to the participants.
