A 36-year-old man consumed pesticide in front of everyone and created tension among people on the premises of the District Collectorate here on Thursday. The person was identified as Kottalanka Nageswara Rao who was separated from his wife Nagamani eight months ago. He tried to rush towards the Collector's chamber after consuming pesticide; he shouted that neither the police nor the court was taking the initiative to reunite his family. The police constables on duty rushed him to the Government General Hospital for treatment. His condition was said to be stable. A case was registered.
