District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that the district farmers will be paid an input subsidy of Rs.143.83 crores in connection with the losses incurred due to Neelam Cyclone. Yesterday, she has organised a review meet on this. She said, the amount would be credited in to the individual bank accounts of farmers as the amount was already released by the government. She asked the bankers to fulfil Rs.100 crore target of loan fixed to LEC, RMG farmers in the district by the month of September in the present crop year. She expressed satisfaction over the present achievement of Rs.72.81 crore till third week of August in this meet.
