District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has ordered Cooking Gas dealers to stop Gas connections for the consumers, who have not submitted their Aadhaar number and Bank account details to them. Along with JC Mr. Babu, she has conducted a review meet on Aadhaar seeding process with cooking gas dealers here on Friday at Collectorate court hall in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she said, there are around 10 lakhs of cooking gas consumers in the district, but till now only 55% of consumers were completed with the Aadhaar seeding process, she stressed. She ordered the dealers to create awareness to consumers on this process. She also ordered them to complete the Aadhaar seeding process by 10th of May, 2013. Subsidy on Cooking gas will be provided from 15th of May, she noticed. She called upon the public to give complaint if any dealer struggled them in this process. If any dealer asked additional money for this process or for name change, then the consumer can complaint to 8008301429 (or) 0884-6454341, 2378460 numbers, she added.
