Kakinada, Aug 7th: Students of Chaitanya Junior College and some student’s organizations staged a demonstration in protest against the missing of N.V. Surya Prakash, a 2nd year Intermediate student of the same college, on Friday. The protesters pelted stones, resulting in breakage of windowpanes. They also damaged the college furniture.
According to information, Suryaprakash of Perumallapuram in Tondangi mandal in East Godavari is missing since July 17 and a complaint was lodged with the local police. It is suspected that the student ran away from the hostel after the management warned him for his indiscipline and for indulging in eve-teasing. The college management also took under taking from him that he would behave properly. A few days later, he could not be seen. Parents of the student and local student’s organizations along with college students staged a protest at the college on Friday. A case was booked and investigation is on.
