Kakinada, Nov 5th: Hundred of students under the district chapter of the Students Federation of India (SFI) staged dharna in front of the Collectorate here, demanding the government to reimburse their tuition fee with immediate effect. The students threatened to intensify their stir if the former failed to do so. Students came to the Collectorate here on Thursday morning and raised slogans against government for its delay in reimbursing tuition fee. Speaking to news reporters, the SFI state secretary, Mr. N.P Rambabu said that the government had not reimbursed tuition fee to some 3,500 eligible students.
Meanwhile the college management was making it clear that they would take the examination fee only when these students paid the tuition fee completely, he added. Hence students demanded that government to take favorable steps as early as possible. If it failed to do so, they were ready to take any steps in the future, including taking part in indefinite strikes at the collectorate on November 30 and 31, they warned.
