Student unions on warpath

Rajahmundry, July 29th: The student unions are on a warpath over the circular issued by the municipal commissioner asking the school heads to file criminal cases against the students union leaders if they enter into school premises. In this regard the municipal commissioner Mr. K. Manik Raj issued a circular to the municipal schools stating that the student’s union leaders should not be allowed into the school premises and book criminal cases if they do so.

 

The circular also stated that the school heads would be held responsible if anything happened to the students. The student’s union leaders demanded withdrawal of such circular and said that they would burn the copies of circular in front of Ambedkar Bhavan statue at Gokavaram bus stand on Thursday and stage dharna at the municipal corporation office on Friday. They also announced to intensify their stir if the commissioner failed to mend his ways.
