Handloom and Handicraft workers from all communities participated in a strike, which was organised by Union of all Handicraft Communities, yesterday at Collectorate. He demanded to take actions, so that they can utilize the social bhavan that was built for them at Taatipatri village in Gollaprolu Mandal. Union president Mr.Pampana Rama Krishna said that Ex MLA Mr.Venna Nageswara Rao has gathered funds for the construction of this social bhavan. Matching grand of Rs.1.40 lakhs was donated by Mr.Noolu Gopala Krishna, who belongs to handicraft community, he added. The construction of this social building has not been completed till now, he added. He accussed that present MLA is trying to convert this building into common community hall. He demanded to cancel this proposal and take action, so that it is allocated to them. Later they submitted request letter to Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad.
