Kakinada, Oct 6th: The district police are strictly motivating the public regarding the usage of helmet and condemnating cigarette smoking. S.P said that this cigarette prohibition and usage of helmet should start from their end first and he ordered the police that they should strictly follow the rules in this issue.
The prohibition of cigarette smoking came into existence from Oct 2nd and those who violets this should pay a fine of 200 rs. Bus stops, Railway Stations, Hotels, Government Offices, and Public Areas will also include in prohibition. At first stage police will concentrate more on city and village areas and strictly collect the fine from the public
Usage of helmets for two wheeler riders is also made compulsory. Police also should compulsorily use the helmet and make the public to do the same. With this, bike theft could also be decreased. The transport department and police want to make this a success keeping in mind regarding the health of the public.
