District Collector M. Ravi Chandra on Saturday said stringent action would be taken against those who harass women employees in Government offices. The District Collector asked all the heads of departments to set up women protection cells in their respective departments and appoint a woman employee as in-charge of the cell. Reacting to a complaint from a woman employee working in agriculture department that the superintendent of the department was harassing her, Mr. Ravi Chandra said besides initiating departmental action, criminal cases would also be booked against the accused, he said.
