Kakinada, Aug 20th: The East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi called upon the public to make use non conventional energy especially the solar energy which in turn helps the environment from pollution. To mark the birth anniversary of former prime minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, he flagged off a rally taken out by the students holding placards underlining the importance of usage of solar energy on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion collector felt the need to bring awareness on optimum utilization of energy and advocated for adopting non-conventional energy sources. He said that the Non-conventional Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited was the nodal agency for promotion of non-conventional energy sources. He asked the authorities to make efforts to facilitate subsidies to promote non conventional energy sources.
