Rampachodavaram, Aug 27th: The joint collector, Mr. Kona Sasidhar called for provision of quality education besides better amenities at the schools and also at the tribal welfare hostels. Mr. Sasidhar who is also holding the charge of Integrated Tribal Development Agency project officer, held a review meet with the principals and schools heads from tribal welfare schools and also with the welfare officers of the hostels here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he asked the principals to make efforts to provide quality education to the students to help them secure ranks at state-level in their annual exams.
Maintaining that surprise inspections would be carried out at the schools and hostels, the JC felt the need to provide better amenities in addition to provision of proper food and health care. Mr. Sasidhar instructed them to carry out repair works to the borewells to ensure potable water supply. He instructed the welfare officers to provide proper health care to the students. Maintaining that a large number of students living in hostels were anemic, the JC assured kits to find out the levels of anemia. He called for efforts to ensure good pass percentage from the agency, especially in the ensuing Class X exams.
