State Level Women Sports Celebrations have started here on Saturday at District Sports Authority Grounds in Kakinada. According to this, Minister of State for Defence, Mr. M.M. Pallam Raju presided over the celebrations. The competitions had began with the grand March past by the students from East Godavari, West Godavari, Rangareddy, Visakha, Guntur, Vizianagaram, Nijamabad, Kurnool, Nellor & other districts and later, they had taken the pledge from D.S.D.O Smt. S.V.Ramana before starting the competitions. Basketball & Swimming competitions are conducted between East Godavari, Nellore, Nijamabad & Kurnool districts on the first day of the celebrations. City M.L.A Mr. Dwarampudi Chandrashekar Reddy, Rural M.L.A Smt. Vanga Geeta, Mr. Pantham Nanaji, AJC Mr. B.Ramarao, District Sports Development Officer (D.S.D.O), Smt. S.V.Ramana and others presided over the celebrations.
