State level Football competitions was conducted in Kakinada. These competitions continued for two days. 16 teams participated in the competition from different places in the district. Mr.Y.D Rama Rao, Chairman of Olympic Committee has taken the privilege to begin this competition and said Football is the famous sport in the world and one needs skill & determination to get selected for this sport. This sport helps to build good health & physical strength, he added. Mr.S.V Ramana, sports development officer said football is still alive in the district only because of the care taken by Football committee. Rayavarapu Satyabhama Seva Trust chief R. Satyabhama donated Rs.13000 for the expenses of this competition. Sriprakash school team has won over Little wood school, Subha Niketan school has won over Yanam team, DSA(A) has won over Nagulaapalli(A) team, Nagulaapalli(B) has won over DSA(B). JNTU has won over DSA(B), JNTU(B) has won over Sri Prakash and Yanam has won over DSA(A).
