Kakinada, Dec 18th: Government has started the classes for 10th class students through open schools in the district. The age limit for appearing for the exam is 14 and above and no minimum education qualifications are needed. AP open schools coordinator Lakshman Dora has declared this to the press on Thursday.
The applicants have to show the age certificate while applying for the exam. The exam will be conducted twice in a year and SSC certificate will be issued to the students who were through in the five subjects. The students who were issued with the certificate can go for the higher studies.
The applications and the details pertaining to the exam will be available in the District high schools and government high schools. Fees of 1,000 will be collected in favor of the exam from OC students and 600 from SC, ST, PH and women students. Courses will be offered in both the media. The filled applications should be submitted before 27th of December.
Heritage, Psychology, Economics and Computer programming are the optional subjects to English and Mathematics. An addition fee of 100 will be collected for the applications received after the due date. Lakshman Dora said that more information about the course can be known by calling 92487 16278.
