Hyderabad, May 20^th: According to the SSC Board of education, SSC examination results will be announced on May.25. Nearly 13.58 lakh students appeared for the public exams that were conducted between March 23 and April 6 in 5,847 centers across the state. Usually the results will be announced by May 10 ever year. But due to the appointment of valuation teachers as polling staff in recently conducted elections, the results got delayed.

Apart from this the introduction of barcode system has also resulted in the delay. The system was introduced for the first time this year to protect the identity of students and schools and to check irregularities during valuation. However the students will not get the photocopies of answer scripts this year too as the SSC Board has failed to do arrangements for the same. To ensure the transparency, the answer sheets of state toppers will be kept in the website.

Initially the officials thought of providing photo copies of all the papers except the languages. Later they decided to implement only for the language papers initially this year. They even decided to collect Rs 500 per paper from the students who want to avail this facility. The director of SSC Board, Mrs. K. Suhasini said that the entire valuation and tabulation work has been completed and they made all arrangements to release the results on May 25.
