State Development Commissioner for Handlooms is organizing ”Special Handloom Expo - 2012-13” from 29th December to 12th January, at Sri Pydah Chalamayya Function hall in Kakinada. According to this, department officer Mr. M.Satyanarayana had released a press note here on Friday. He stated that the expo will be started by District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad at Morning 11am. MLA Mr. Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy will also preside over the program, he added. Artisans were participating in the exhibition to sell their products directly to customers. Different Types of Handlooms & Handicrafts like Gadwal, Dharmavaram, Pochampalli, Venkatagiri, Bandarupattu, Machavaram, Pattu Sarees & Tussar Silk sarees, Cotton sarees, Tie & Dye, Gollabhama sarees, Towels, Mangalgiri, Cheerala Dress materials, Ponduri cotton shirting, Karimnagar Design Bedsheets, Warangal Durries & Door mats are available for reasonable price, he said.
